Facilitation of redevelopment rights for a ‘tired’ but strategically located commercial office building through a ten-week, iterative urban design process that utilised three-dimensional urban design methods.

Creative, collaborative trade-off between private/commercial and public interests and opportunities. The increase in elevated private parking between the two towers is offset by [1] the redevelopment of the the public and semi-public spaces adjacent to the building and [2] the introduction of a higher proportion of active uses at ground level.

A large new urban-scaled canopy and the elements/uses associated with it significantly improves the activity and permeability along the main facade, as well as defining a new, landscaped pocket park in front of the building.
